Solutions > Bell Control + Paging
Unlike legacy systems that are installed in each building, IP bell control and paging utilizes the data network making it a district-wide solution. IP speakers employ power over Ethernet (PoE) allowing connection via a single network cable, greatly simplifying initial installation and retrofit applications. InformaCast® integrates directly into Cisco Unified Communications. A blend of IP speakers and existing analog speakers can be integrated to create a hybrid solution that extends resources. Districts typically consider a new bell control and paging system with new construction. Because of the ability to integrate with legacy analog speaker systems, school districts can also use a phased approach to implementation. By starting with one building and then expanding, schools are able to make the move and experience the benefits in a way that is compatible with the budget.
Bell Control and Paging has built-in investment protection because it is software-driven allowing for updates without replacing hardware. This system allows for unlimited IP zones, district-wide broadcast, by-the-room broadcasts, paging, web-based bell scheduling and control, customizable bells (WAV files), synchronized clocks, and multiple speaker options. It also provides a cornerstone for an in-district emergency alert system.
Advanced management features give the ability to perform administrative functions and view system activities directly from a phone or a web interface. Bells and paging can be customized to fit varied requirements district-wide. Flexibility and reliability make this cost effective solution a powerful addition to district communications.
